The ballet of the classic story of a down-trodden girl dressed in rags who is forced to toil in service of her wicked stepmother

The ballet of the classic story of a down-trodden girl dressed in rags who is forced to toil in service of her wicked stepmother and stepsisters. Cinderella is visited by her Fairy Godmother and given until midnight a magical pumpkin coach, ballgown and glass slippers to go to the Prince’s ball. At the ball, she and the Prince dance together and fall in love and she loses track of the time. Cinderella is running from the Prince at midnight as her gown turns back to rags and all that remains are the glass slippers. Alas, in her flight, she loses one, but keeps the other one as a reminder of that beautiful night. Music by Prokofiev, choreography by Lavinia Reid and Cindy Reid based on staging by Alice Reid.
